Milestone comes as the company continues advancing its Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicle platform through amphibious testing and engineering development
Squamish, British Columbia, April 22, 2026 – Celerity Craft announced today that it has graduated from the Creative Destruction Lab – Atlantic Oceans program, marking an important milestone in the company’s development of its Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicle, or DACV, platform.
Celerity Craft is developing the DACV platform to improve speed, efficiency, and amphibious capability across marine applications. The company’s work focuses on a three-hull air-cushion architecture designed to reduce drag and enable faster, more efficient marine operations. Marine transportation is responsible for approximately 3% of global emissions. Celerity addresses this problem, first by reducing the energy required, and second, by making electrification easier. In addition, by having no propellers and by riding above the surface of the water, Celerity avoids injury to marine wildlife and reduces wake on shorelines.
Graduation from CDL is accompanied by continued progress in engineering, fabrication, and prototype testing. Recent development work has included successful platform testing
In January 2026, Celerity completed Alpha 1.3 ice testing to evaluate the DACV platform in winter conditions. The testing demonstrated controlled movement and stable operation on ice, supporting ongoing work related to lift behaviour, stability, and control response in cold-climate environments.
In March 2026, Celerity completed Beta 1.3 on-water testing. Early testing indicated a 3x increase in speed over Alpha at the same power, highlighting continued gains in efficiency and overall platform performance.
Together, these tests support the DACV platform’s development for four-season, amphibious operation across water, ice, and land-transition environments.
“We are proud to have graduated from the CDL-Atlantic Oceans program,” said Richard MacKellar, Chief Executive Officer of Celerity Craft. “The program connected us with experienced mentors and a strong network, while our team continued to make meaningful progress in the development and testing of the DACV platform.”
“Mentoring Celerity through the CDL program was a pleasure,” said Rangesh Kasturi. “Under Richard MacKellar’s leadership, the team consistently met key objectives and matured the business significantly over the year. Celerity’s DACV represents an innovative step-change in marine transportation, delivering unmatched speed, efficiency, and amphibious capability.”
Celerity Craft plans to continue platform development, advance strategic conversations with customers and partners, and build toward the next phase of product and manufacturing readiness.
