Job Description
About Celerity Craft
Celerity Craft is a pioneering marine technology company based in Squamish, BC, developing revolutionary Dynamic Air Cushion Vehicles (DACV) — advanced amphibious vessels that combine high-speed performance, exceptional efficiency, and zero-emission capabilities. Our innovative Lift & Thrust technology is set to transform marine transportation for commercial, military, passenger, and recreational use.
Join a small, dynamic team working on cutting-edge sustainable technology that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible on (and off) the water. Help us build the future of high-performance marine craft right here on the shores of Squamish.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Composites Fabricator / Finisher to play a key hands-on role in the construction and refinement of our DACV prototypes and production vessels. You will work with advanced composite materials to create lightweight, strong, and high-performance structures essential to our revolutionary hull and air-cushion designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay up, laminate, and mould composite materials (fibreglass, carbon fibre, epoxy, etc.) using vacuum bagging, infusion, and hand lay-up techniques.
- Prepare moulds, apply release agents, and ensure high-quality surface finishes.
- Perform trimming, sanding, fairing, and finishing of composite parts to marine-grade standards.
- Assemble composite components and integrate with other structural elements.
- Conduct quality inspections, repairs, and rework as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while following strict health & safety protocols.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to meet tight prototype and production timelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in composites fabrication and finishing, ideally in marine, aerospace, automotive, or high-performance product manufacturing.
- Skills: Proficiency with carbon fibre, fibreglass, and resin systems. Strong knowledge of vacuum infusion, wet layup, and surface finishing techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a fast-paced startup environment. Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new processes.
- Physical: Ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and work in a workshop environment.
Assets:
- Experience in marine boat building or yacht construction.
- Knowledge of advanced composites (pre-pregs, core materials).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., composites training, WHMIS, forklift).
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Opportunity to work on groundbreaking, sustainable marine technology.
- Hands-on role with real impact in a growing company.
- Collaborative, innovative work environment in beautiful Squamish, BC.
- Benefits package (to be finalized as we grow).
If you are passionate about composites, marine innovation, and building something truly revolutionary, we want to hear from you!
